Dan Merzlyak

With extensive experience leading operations and analytics initiatives at the executive level, Dan is the Senior Vice President, Global Head of Data, Analytics, and AI at EnterpriseDB (EDB), the #1 Postgres Data & AI Platform, backed by Bain Capital Private Equity and Great Hill Partners. At EDB, he drives innovation in data management, analytics, and AI to support the leadership team and its global clients. He also oversees IT infrastructure, system integrations, and the administration of internal and customer-facing applications. Recognized by CDO Magazine as a 40 Under 40 honoree, named a Top 100 Data & Analytics Leader by OnConferences, and awarded AIM’s AI Innovator of the Year, Dan has a proven track record of managing large global teams and delivering data-driven insights to grow businesses across various industries. He has leveraged his skills in data science, data mining, statistical analysis, AI-driven solutions, and executive-level reporting to create impactful dashboards, reports, and analytics for several Fortune 500 and private-equity owned companies. In his previous role as a Director at BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, Dan led the Aladdin Data Implementations Practice, where he built and scaled alternatives and public accounting platform business intelligence implementation methodologies. Before his tenure at BlackRock, Dan was the Head of Performance Reporting & Analytics at the London Stock Exchange Group, where he spearheaded the global business intelligence strategy for the Data & Analytics division. His career also includes roles focused on value creation within the Private Equity Commercial Operations group at Cerberus Capital Management and as a Senior Management Consultant within the Analytics competencies at PwC and EY. Dan attended Cornell University where he received a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Economics and Statistical Sciences. He also holds both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science (MS) in Business Analytics from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
